1. What You Will Need to Start

· Be a certified diver for at least 6 months
· Be at least 18 years of age
· Be a PADI Divemaster or equivalent from other agency
· 60 logged dives to start 100 to be certified (let us know if you do not have 100 logged dives)
· Experience in Navigation dives, night dives and deep dives
· Have Emergency First Response Training or equivalent with CPR Training completed in the last 24 months
· Have a medical certificate not older than 12 month and must be signed by a doctor

3. What the Aussie Divers Phuket IDC will cost you.

Please note that you will need to be an Emergency First Response to be a PADI Open Water Instructor. For this reason we have combined it in our pricing package.

You will need your own materials and cannot share or used second hand materials.

Do I Need to Know How To Swim to Scuba Dive?

This is a question that I often get asked, and really it is not as simple as YES or NO. Here is some explanations and reasons why. If you want to become a certified scuba diver by doing the PADI Open Water Diver Course, the answer is yes. In the PADI Open Water Diver Course it is specified that you have to be able to swim continuously for 200 metres. This can be with any stroke however it does need to be continuous without stopping.
