2019

In 2018 – 2019 Aussie Divers Phuket staff received 13 Certificates of Excellence and Tom Domville was nominate Instructor of the month during 2019. A massive effort by the team.

In 2019 Aussie Divers again received an award from PADI for outstanding Contribution to The Diving Industry. It was a great effort by all of the team.

In November of 2017 Aussie Divers Phuket were Awarded one if PADI’s highest awards, Resort and Retailer of the Month. This award was granted by Danny Dwyer Vice President PADI Asia Pacific.

In October 2017 Aussie Divers were awarded a Certificate of Excellence from Scubapro.

In 2017 Aussie Divers again received an award from PADI for outstanding Contribution to The Diving Industry. It was a great effort by all of the team.

2016

On the 30th April 2016 PADI Regional Manager Andy Auer presented Aussie Divers Phuket wins with two major PADI Awards.

The first all be a bit belated was an award for Outstanding Contribution to the Diving Industry for the 2014.

The second award was for the 2015 year and was for Outstanding Contribution to Diver Education.

The awards were proudly accepted by Aussie Divers Phuket owner and PADI Course Director Darren Gaspari. He went on to say “I couldn’t have done it without the fantastic team of professional staff”. “We have always aimed to be the best scuba diving centre in Phuket and awards like this prove that we are heading in the right direction”

Aussie Divers Phuket is a PADI 5 Star IDC Centre. They can cater for all PADI courses and activities. They start from the PADI Discover Scuba Diving and the PADI Open Water course. Up to the PADI Divemaster course and PADI Instructor Development Course. Aussie Divers Phuket also has a large range of PADI Specialty courses to choose from including the PADI Sidemount course and PADI Nitrox courses.

Do I Need to Know How To Swim to Scuba Dive?

This is a question that I often get asked, and really it is not as simple as YES or NO. If you want to become a certified scuba diver by doing the PADI Open Water Diver Course, the answer is yes. In the PADI Open Water Diver Course it is specified that you have to be able to swim 200 metres. This can be with any stroke. You also have to be able to tread water or float for at least 10 minutes. Nitrox – What is it and What are the Benefits?

The air that we breathe on the surface and the air from a scuba tank have the same mixture gases (minus some trace elements of other gases). Air is essentially 21% Oxygen and 79% Nitrogen. Nitrox is a term used for the mixture of nitrogen and oxygen. Recreational scuba divers use a blend of Nitrox that is usually a mixture of 21- 40% oxygen and 60-79% nitrogen.
