Phi Phi Islands Dive Sites

Phi Phi Islands Dive Sites

Phi Phi Islands Dive Sites

Dive These Amazing Phi Phi Island Dive Sites. The Phi Phi Islands are made up of six different Islands with many different dive sites. Two islands to the north named Mosquito and Bamboo Islands. Given their location these islands are rarely dive or visited by the Phuket Scuba Diving day trip boats. The largest island in the group and the only island with inhabitants is Koh Phi Phi Don. Although there are some dive sites around this island. It is rarely dived as the dive site are considered not as good as others in the area.

The Second biggest island in the group is Koh Phi Phi Ley. There are no inhabitants on this island and it does provide some reasonable dive sites for avid scuba divers. There are two smaller islands to the south of the Phi Phi group which are considered the best dive sites in the area. These are Koh Bida Nai and Koh Bida Nok. Koh Bida Nok is considered the best day trip dive site in the region and it is rare that a day trip out of Phuket to Phi Phi would not visit this Koh Bida Nok.

Also considered a dive site on the Phi Phi day trip is a popular dive site called Hin Bida. This submerged pinnacle has been providing dives with some great shark dives of late and is becoming increasing popular for divers.

Koh Bida Nok – Phi Phi

Koh Bida Nok - Phi Phi is possibly Phuket's best day trip dive site. A dive site that is accessible to all diving levels and provides great entertainment for all divers. Koh Bida Nai Phi Phi

Koh Bida Nai is the sister island to Koh Bida Nok and a part of the Phi Phi National Park. Although it does not have the same diversity as Koh Bida Nok it is still a very nice dive site. The northern wall contains some stunning corals and it is the feature of the dive site. A beautiful swim through on the south eastern side provides divers with a picturesque view of some large schools of snappers that line either side. Black tip reef [...]

Hin Bida (Bida Rock) Phi Phi

Hin Bida (Bida Rock) is a part of the Phi Phi Islands. She is a dive site some 20 minutes boat ride further east of Koh Bida Nok. Hin translates to rock in Thai and you can see the top rock protruding the surface depending on the tides at the time. This unusually shaped rock is not dissimilar to the shape of a human hand. The main rock has five finger like pinnacles that run from the surface down to 15 - 20 metres where it then flatte [...]

Green Island

Green Island is a small rarely dived island that is due south of Shark Point and about an hour boat ride west of the Phi Phi Islands. It doesn't provide the same quality of diving as either Shark Point or Phi Phi hence the lack of appeal for the day trip boats to stop there. It is a small circular island with a sparse mixture coral and rocks. The southern side of the island is basically a flat sandy sea bed with not much marine life. Ha [...]
