Transform into an EFR Instructor with comprehensive training in CPR, First Aid, and Care for Children, mastering teaching techniques and business insights for effective emergency response education.
About The Course
The PADI Emergency First Response (EFR) Instructor program at Aussie Divers Phuket offers an opportunity to teach essential CPR and first aid skills, which are valuable to everyone, not just scuba divers. As an EFR Instructor, you’ll be able to teach courses based on internationally recognized emergency care guidelines, offering valuable skills to anyone interested in learning. EFR courses provide a comfortable environment for practising emergency care, allowing students to finish the course feeling confident and ready to assist someone in need.
To become an EFR Instructor, you must be at least 18 years old and have completed Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training within the past 24 months. While an EFR Instructor rating is required to become a PADI Instructor, you don’t need to wait until you’re ready to go pro; you can complete or refresh this training during your PADI Instructor training. The EFR Instructor course builds on your skills as an Emergency Responder and focuses on developing your ability to teach these skills to others. The course provides the additional training necessary to teach Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR), Secondary Care (First Aid), Care for Children, and CPR/AED courses.
Throughout the instructor course, you’ll cover specific goals and performance requirements for each course, along with instruction on structuring learning, performance-based training requirements, and your role as an instructor. You’ll learn how to motivate students, evaluate their knowledge, present course content effectively, and develop students’ hands-on skills practice sessions. The course also teaches you how to create effective scenario-based learning experiences and offers guidance on marketing your EFR business. By the end of the program, you’ll be well-equipped to conduct EFR courses and instil confidence in your students, preparing them to respond effectively in emergencies.
