PADI Advanced Open Water Course – Which Adventure Dives Should I Do?
Congratulations. You have decided to do your PADI Advanced Open Water course and now you are considering what adventure dives you should do.
Firstly you need to be aware that there two PADI adventure dives which are compulsory to get your PADI Advanced Open Water course. The PADI Deep adventure dive and the PADI Underwater Navigator dive must be completed to become a PADI Advanced Open Water certified diver.
Important Selections
Selection can be important as you PADI Adventure dives will credit you to the corresponding PADI Specialty course. If you are planning to take some PADI Specialty courses in the future then selecting adventure dives that correspond with dives will save you time and money in the future.
For instance The PADI Wreck Diver Specialty course is a 4 dive course. Because PADI only allow 3 training dives a day, the course therefore has to be a two day course. If you use the the credit from an adventure dive it will take three dives to finish the course which can effectively be completed in one day.
Both the PADI Deep Diver Specialty and the PADI Underwater Navigator Specialty will require three more dives after your PADI Advanced Open Water course to be a specialized divers in those areas.
