PADI DIVEMASTER OPTIONS WITH AUSSIE DIVERS PHUKET

We understand that not everyone who wants to become a PADI Divemaster has the same experience levels, or the same budgets, so we have two different options for becoming a PADI Divemaster in Thailand.

1. PADI Divemaster in 14 days.

This option is available to PADI Divemaster candidates who already have 60 logged dives (the minimum number of dives needed to qualify as a PADI Divemaster and completed the PADI online learning. Please contact us to obtain further details regarding the entry requirements for this option.

PRICE: 25,000 THB

Note: additional charges may apply if additional days required to complete DM skills

2. PADI Divemaster Internship over 3-4 weeks.

The Aussie Divers internship option is a unique ‘hands-on’ experience where you will be assisting our team of experienced Instructors with full courses from start to finish. We will assign you one of our experienced instructors to act as your personal ‘mentor’ throughout the whole divemaster program. This ‘mentor’ will assist you in developing your theory in the classroom and your skills in the pool, along with guiding you through the rest of the divemaster course.

This option will give you an insight into how a dive centre runs ‘behind the scenes’ and we’ll make sure that you make enough dives during your internship to ensure you have the required 60 logged dives by the time you complete your internship.

PRICE: 35,000 THB

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

To enrol on the PADI Divemaster course you need to be 18 years old, be a certified Rescue Diver with EFR certification in the last 24 months and have 40 logged dives. If you don’t have all of these it’s not a problem. We can start your program based on whatever level you are now and get you up to entry level while you are here in Phuket.
You also need to be fit for diving and submit a Medical Statement (PDF) signed by a physician within the last 12 months
Living on Phuket offers great value for money: While you are here you’ll find that living costs are low. There are plenty of cheap local places to eat out – and the food is incredible!
We also can offer great packages with accommodation at our Chalong training centre included, please ask us about what we can offer.

We only ask that you pay for the following required materials and the PADI membership fee:

The PADI Divemaster Digital Crew pack (THB 6,000) is required for each student & includes the following material’s: Divemaster online eLearning, PADI Discover Scuba Diving Cue Card (PDF), Divemaster slates (PDF), PADI Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving, PADI ReActivate eLearning, eRDPML eLearning, Divemaster Application.

The PADI Divemaster In-water Slate Crew pack (THB 3,500) is also required for each student & includes the following material’s: PADI Instructor Manual, PADI Discover Scuba Diving Cue Card, Divemaster slates, Professional Training Logbook
PADI Divemaster Application Fee: Currently AU$ 220

WHAT CAN I DO AS A PADI DIVEMASTER?

As a certified PADI Divemaster you will be able to:

Supervise both training and non-training-related activities by planning, organizing and directing dives
Accompany PADI Scuba Divers subsequent dives
Accompany student divers during the Adventures In diving dives or specialty courses
Conduct subsequent Discover Scuba Diving dives
Assist PADI Instructor during the training sessions for any PADI Diver course
Conduct the PADI Skin Diver course and PADI Discover Snorkelling program
Conduct the PADI Discover Local Diving experience
Conduct the PADI Scuba review program

You can also complete a short qualification and become a PADI Discover Scuba Diving Leader which will allow you to independently conduct the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program.

Do I Need to Know How To Swim to Scuba Dive?

This is a question that I often get asked, and really it is not as simple as YES or NO. Here is some explanations and reasons why. If you want to become a certified scuba diver by doing the PADI Open Water Diver Course, the answer is yes.
