Scuba diving was just on my bucket list – now it is a part of my life!

I am a world traveler and I have a lifetime bucket list. Scuba diving is one of them. I got certified PADI Open Water Course in Hawaii in 2013, which I really enjoyed and was satisfied with the fact that “I did it, bucket list checked.”

I have not had a chance to go diving since then until my friend introduced Aussie Divers in 2015. I did fun dives at Koh Phi Phi and Racha Noi/Yai. I discovered diving in Phuket was amazing with colourful coral reefs and active marine life. I fell in love with scuba diving again! I went back to Hawaii to do the PADI Advanced Open Water Course and came back to Phuket to do rescue and EFR with Aussie Divers. Because I loved scuba diving in Phuket and Aussie Divers so much, I finally decided to do a PADI Divemaster course as well.

I did the Divemaster course during a high season in December 2018. It was the busiest time for Aussie Divers and all instructors and staff were working hard every day. My mentor Tom took good care of the Divemaster trainees.

I finished the course within 3 weeks with a packed agenda, including learning theories, practicing skills in the pool, and open water and packing bags. The most fun part was meeting new people and sharing diving and life stories on the boat.

I am glad I completed the Divemaster course with Aussie Divers. This is the best dive center to deepen the knowledge, skills and most importantly enjoy scuba diving.

The instructors and staff are amazing, they are kind, funny and passionate. I love spending time together in the early morning with coffee, on the boat and after work with drinks. I value people a lot and I am happy I met awesome people at Aussie Divers. Now I am living in a dream life, working in Singapore during weekdays and visiting Phuket to do more scuba diving on the weekends. Who would have thought I’d become a professional PADI diver… Scuba diving was one of the things on my bucket list – now it is a part of my life!
