PADI Divemaster with Aussie Divers Phuket
Growing up in Australia I have always been connected to the sand and surf, I am pretty sure I learnt how to swim before I learnt how to walk so it would be fair to say the water has always been apart of me. I remember my first discovery scuba session on chartered catamaran sailing the Great Barrier Reef in 2009 and seeing my first turtle. Its the small moments in life I appreciate and I will always treasure, nature in the natural. I have always been a traveller, my first Europe trip in 2014 I dived the Greek islands and Spain. From then I knew I always want to be apart of this world but It wasn’t until 2016 I took the direction of completing my Open Water Certification in Recreational Scuba Diving in Koh Phi Phi (Thailand), the following year I completed my Advance in Koh Tao (Thailand) and in 2019 my Rescue Diver on the island of Utila (Honduras)

I had planned to travel to Phuket to complete my dive masters and decided to fun dive several dive centres in making sure I did my due diligence before committing to the Divemaster course. Unknowingly my first dive center was Aussie Divers Phuket after doing a couple of paid fun dives, some chats with the course director Darren and seeing how professional the team was I knew completing the course here would be the right decision for my PADI Professional diving career. I had very little knowledge of what to expect as a DMT, but was quickly shown and guided by everyone at the dive center on there expectations of me and my daily duties; packing bags, assisting the instructors and engineers and helping with the customers. The course was delivered to suit I managed to get an eye infection and had to take some time out of the water I also went back to Australia to work for a month so Darren and Ashley were always understanding especially with the start of the COVID – 19 affecting the dive industry in Thailand.

Aussie Divers in my opinion would have to be the number one dive center in not only Phuket but Thailand and I am internally grateful to have met dived laughed and bantered with the Aussie Diver family in Phuket and after this COVID – 19 is finished I will be looking to get back and do my Instructor Development Course. Thank you to Darren the Course director for the many many many years of experience and stories, Master instructor Ashley for your guidance and dumbing everything down for me so I can get it, Instructor Tom for being able to recite the Padi manual like the back of your hand, Instructor Ashish kebab for being a pain in my ass and pushing me to complete my modules and instructor martin for amazing photos on my last dive. Thank you to all the instructors at the dive center Instructor Christer, Instructor Andre, Instructor Lara, Instructor Alban, Instructor Alix and special mention to instructor Nice who gave me tips and scuba hacks on my scuba equipment and getting my weight belt correct for perfect buoyancy. I appreciate you guys and look forward to diving many more times with everyone in the future.
