You are traveling to Phuket for your scuba diving and you would like to know which SHA Plus Hotels are close to the pier and have free transfers.

Travel time vary greatly in Phuket depending on where you are staying. Some of the resort situated in the north of the island are almost 50km from the pier and are in excess of an hour travel from teh pier. This blog will explain more: Travel Times Around Phuket.

Currently transfers are free from Patong, Karon, Kata, Chalong, Rawai and Nai Harn. All other areas have a surcharge and that depends on the distance you are from Phuket.

Do I Need to Know How To Swim to Scuba Dive?

This is a question that I often get asked, and really it is not as simple as YES or NO. Here is some explanations and reasons why. If you want to become a certified scuba diver by doing the PADI Open Water Diver Course, the answer is yes. In the PADI Open Water Diver Course it is specified that you have to be able to swim continuously for 200 metres. This can be with any stroke however it does need to be continuous without stopping.
