The Junk, also known as “June Hong Chian Lee” is one of Thailands premium liveaboard experiences. With the Similan Islands season finishing up for 2018/19, The Junk will now be offering the perfect weekend getaway’s. Exploring the Southern Andaman dive sites around Phi Phi & Phuket during the West Coast’s low season (May – October).

This weekend dive trip will depart from Phuket every Friday morning & return to Phuket on Sunday evenings. Stopping at the best dive sites around Koh Doc Mai, Phi Phi, Shark Point & Anemone Reef, offering a great mix of different diving, corals & fish life.

Short weekend trips like this are the perfect introduction to the liveaboard diving experience, with the 2 nights onboard spent around the picturesque Phi Phi Islands. This liveaboard has a spacious indoor saloon & large deck space’s, giving guest’s heaps of room to relax & unwind between dives. The delicious buffet meals served in the saloon each day will also have you coming back for more.

10 Dives

With a total of 10 dives, over a great range of dive sites, it is also the perfect opportunity to do the PADI Advanced Open Water Course onboard. Doing the course will take only 5 dives, and the skills involved in the PADI Advanced course will not take away from the diving experience onboard at all. There is also the opportunity to include a night dive in the course.

Scuba Diving Phuket Thailand Equipment Setup On Similan Liveaboard

The weekend Southern Andaman’s trip will be a 2-nights/3-days liveaboard, doing up to 10 dives in total, with prices starting from just THB 12,800 per person (quad share). This will include hotel transfers before & after the trip, all meals including soft drinks, tea, coffee, drinking water, fruits & snacks. 12L tanks & weights also included onboard.

Onboard extra’s would be the Phi Phi Marine park fee (THB 1,200), equipment rental, beer & wine. Enriched Air/Nitrox is also available onboard. Advanced course onboard would be an additional THB 9,000 per person.

Do I Need to Know How To Swim to Scuba Dive?

This is a question that I often get asked, and really it is not as simple as YES or NO. If you want to become a certified scuba diver by doing the PADI Open Water Diver Course, the answer is yes.
