It has been a tough few year in Phuket with COVID travel restrictions however with a lot of hard work, Aussie Divers Phuket have received their 7th consecutive Outstanding Contribution to Scuba Diving Award from PADI. The award was presented to Owner Darren Gaspari by PADI Regional Manager Andy Auer. Aussie Divers is extremely proud to have won the award and could not have done it without the help of their staff, Ashley Walker, Martin Ruhoff. We often get asked what will be the water temperature when scuba diving in Phuket of Thailand. Phuket is fortunate that our water temperature is very stable and does not fluctuate much and has some of the warmest waters in the world. Generally the water temperature in and around Phuket is normally a very comfortable 29 degrees Celsius. With a long run of overcast days it may drop to a chilly 28 degrees and if we get an extended run of warm sunny weather it could reach 30 degrees Celsius. Fogging scuba or snorkeling masks have been a scuba diving issue since scuba diving first started.A foggy mask can ruin a dive. Here we will try and work out why does our scuba masks fog up? The basic principle on why a mask fogs is a simple one. In the simplest term, temperature inside the mask is greater than the outside of the mask. The temperature difference occurs because our body temperature inside (skin, forehead, breathing) is around 37 degrees Celsius or 98 degrees Fahrenheit and the water on the outside of the mask is less than the water temperature.
