Cabins

Featuring sixteen twin cabins and four fixed double cabins, Koon 9 provides versatile accommodation options. Twin cabins can easily convert into doubles, boasting spacious beds. Each guest cabin offers a generous sea-view window, air conditioning, a private en suite bathroom, and some include a smart TV. Solo guests in twin cabins share with another same-gender guest, yet the expansive communal areas beckon for socializing during non-diving hours.

Facilities

Koon 9’s facilities extend beyond cabins, with a capacious upper deck housing an air-conditioned lounge saloon adorned with comfortable sofas, armchairs, and a large TV equipped with multimedia and a Nintendo games console. The indoor dining room offers plenty of tables for savoring delectable Thai and Western cuisine, with continuous access to fruits, snacks, and complimentary soft drinks.

The expansive sundeck provides a breathtaking space with sun loungers and soft seating. Guests can relish morning coffee or evening drinks while taking in panoramic views and the refreshing sea breeze. The sundeck’s photogenic ambiance makes it an ideal spot for capturing memorable selfies.

Being a dedicated scuba diving vessel, Koon 9 boasts a substantial diving platform, facilitated by its width. Each diver is allocated a personal tank slot and storage space for gear between dives. The non-slip floor ensures safety, and the attentive boat crew assists with gear and tender dinghies.

Do I Need to Know How To Swim to Scuba Dive?

This is a question that I often get asked, and really it is not as simple as YES or NO. Here is some explanations and reasons why. If you want to become a certified scuba diver by doing the PADI Open Water Diver Course, the answer is yes. In the PADI Open Water Diver Course it is specified that you have to be able to swim continuously for 200 metres. This can be with any stroke however it does need to be continuous without stopping. There is alternate option and that is you do a 300 metre mask, fin and snorkel swim. Some do find this easier to the 200 swim.
