During your PADI Open Water course you learnt that there are some things you cannot do straight after scuba diving. We can all remember that we cannot fly after scuba diving however there are quite a number of other things we should avoid doing as well.
All have to do with the build-up of nitrogen in our body and all heighten the risk of decompression sickness and should be avoided.

Given that PADI has dive centres in 186 countries around the globe, this could give a dive instructor the opportunity to travel and work. Aussie Divers Phuket introduces Lara Weyhausen, our English/German speaking PADI Scuba Diving Instructor.
Lara is from Niedersachsen in the north west of Germany.
Her first scuba diving experience was on the small island of Koh Phangan, Thailand when she was just 12 years old. She did a PADI Discover Scuba Diving with her mother and sister and was fortunate enough to see a whale shark. Something she loves reminding her boss about as he has never seen one.
