Ever wanted to learn to scuba, but live in the metropolis of Bangkok. Well, now you can do both with Aussie Divers.

Aussie Divers, Phuket’s best and most scuba diving centre is now holding the theory and pool training of the PADI Open Water Course with our team of professional English speaking dive instructors.

Scuba Diving Theory

The PADI Open Water Course theory can be done in a number of different ways. Firstly you can do the full PADI Open Water theory online with The PADI open Water Touch. The PADI Open Water Touch is a full interactive tuition that can be done on a computer, smartphone or tablet. There is an additional charge for the PADI Touch. Alternatively, you can watch the training videos at home, complete the required knowledge reviews, and complete the exams with your PADI instructor. Alternatively Aussie Divers can come to your common room to do the theory there.

Pool Training

Pool training is conducted in a stunning pool located in the Seri Thai area of Bangkok. This enormous pool is one of the most professional scuba diving pools you will find anywhere in the world. Immaculately clean and plenty of space for quality and professional scuba diving training and practice.

Once you have completed your pool and theory in Bangkok then you can travel to either Phuket or Koh Tao where you will then be taken care of our PADI Instructors there. Phuket has the beautiful dive sites of the Racha Islands, Phi Phi, and Shark Point. Koh Tao is a very laid back island and has up to 25 different dive sites all within easy reach of the dive centre.

Aussie Divers can also offer the theory and pool training for the PADI Rescue course and PADI Divemaster course.

At Aussie Divers we also offer great corporate packages and are agents for the world-famous Similan Island liveaboards.

Do I Need to Know How To Swim to Scuba Dive?

This is a question that I often get asked, and really it is not as simple as YES or NO. Here is some explanations and reasons why. If you want to become a certified scuba diver by doing the PADI Open Water Diver Course, the answer is yes. In the PADI Open Water Diver Course it is specified that you have to be able to swim continuously for 200 metres. This can be with any stroke however it does need to be continuous without stopping.
