About The Course

Requirements
Minimum age: 18+ (Junior Divemaster program available for 15+)
Have at least 40 dives to start, 60 to certify.
Dive medical within last 12 months
Hold PADI or equivalent certificate for:
- Open Water Diver
- Advanced Open Water Diver
- Rescue Diver
- EFR/CPR First Aid within last 24 months
- Required Swim Tests (timed):
- 400m swim, 15 minute float/tread, 800m snorkel, 100m tired diver tow.
The PADI Divemaster course is the first step into professional diving and is a comprehensive and rewarding experience. At Aussie Divers Phuket, you’ll work closely with an outstanding instructional team, including PADI Course Director Darren Gaspari, Master Instructors, Staff Instructors, and highly experienced Senior Instructors. You’ll become an integral part of the team as you develop your skills and knowledge alongside some of the best in the business. Aussie Divers Phuket offers two pathways to become a PADI Divemaster: a 10-14 day course or an intensive internship program over 3-4 weeks, depending on your current experience, the number of logged dives, and your planned stay in Phuket.
The internship program provides a unique, hands-on experience where you’ll assist the instructor team with complete courses from start to finish. You’ll be paired with an experienced instructor who will act as your personal mentor, helping you develop your theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the classroom and pool. This mentorship ensures a comprehensive learning experience and prepares you to excel as a divemaster. PADI Divemaster Programs Phuket Thailand
A minimum of 60 logged dives is required. This program includes 2-3 days of classroom theory, 3-4 days in the pool, and 4-5 day trips to local sites such as the Racha Islands, Phi Phi, and Kata Reef/Kata Beach. Any additional diving days needed beyond the included trips will be available at a discounted professional rate.
14 Day Program (must have more than 60 dives)
A minimum of 40 logged dives is required. This program will include 2-3 days of classroom theory, 4-6 days in the pool, and up to 10 day trips to local sites such as the Racha Islands, Phi Phi, and Kata Reef/Kata Beach.
Any additional diving days needed beyond the included trips will be available at a discounted professional rate.
2-3 Week Internship Program (minimum 40 logged dives)

Program Breakdown
Our 14-day Divemaster program (starting with minimum 60 logged dives) includes approx. 2–3 days classroom, 3–5 days pool, and 4–6 days diving (boat or beach dives). Whilst the 2–3 week program (starting with minimum 40 logged dives) includes 2–3 days classroom, 4–6 days pool, and 10 days diving (boat or beach dives).
