IDC Timetable

At Aussie Divers Phuket – PADI 5 Star Career Development Centre, our PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) schedule is meticulously designed to help you not only pass the PADI Instructor Exams (IE) but also excel. The IDC program spans 10-12 days, with the subsequent 2-day Instructor Exam. We kick off the program with early preparation, including pre-evaluation practice exams focused on PADI standards and dive theory (skill & environment, physics, physiology, RDP/eRDPml, equipment). These foundational elements ensure you have a strong grasp of the theoretical aspects before progressing to the more practical components of the course.

Our IDC schedule includes comprehensive OWSI classroom presentations, knowledge development sessions, and in-water skill development exercises. These elements are designed to build your confidence and expertise in teaching scuba diving. We recommend that candidates arrive a few days early to settle in and get some dives under their belt, as there is no time for fun dives once the IDC starts. Early arrival also gives you the opportunity to complete any necessary EFR (Emergency First Response) renewals before the IDC begins, ensuring you’re fully prepared.

After successfully completing the IDC and passing the Instructor Exam, Aussie Divers Phuket offers additional specialty instructor training. This training takes place over 3-4 days, depending on the number of specialty certifications you choose to pursue. These certifications can enhance your teaching portfolio and make you more versatile as an instructor. Our goal is to provide you with a comprehensive and supportive learning environment, equipping you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in your diving career.
