4. Bang for Your Buck

Making the decision to take you Instructor Development Course is a big one. We know, because we did it too! Not only does it involve a time commitment and often a travel commitment, there’s also a financial investment which needs to be addressed too. Many dive centres choose to gloss over the cost when talking about their IDC’s but we prefer to be upfront from the start. Our pricing is super clear about what’s included and what’s not. We are also in a great position to be able to include some free extras as we have accommodation on site and awesome diving on our doorstep. So, we include in our IDC packages five days of FREE diving before doing your IDC. This means that not only do you get to do some great diving but also, if you haven’t dived in a while, you have time to get back into the swing of things.

Our IDC packages also include free onsite accommodation – we have it and you need it, so why not? We’ll put you up in a comfy room for 12 nights so you are well rested and ready to tackle the challenging demands placed on you as a PADI Instructor.

We also understand that traveling with gear can be cumbersome and costly so we will also provide free equipment rental for your IDC and throw in completely free specialty instructor training for Nitrox and Emergency Oxygen Provider so you are better able to immediately enter the work force.

Not everyone’s budgets are the same and not everyone’s needs are the same, so we don’t offer a ‘one size fits all’ IDC (let’s be honest, one size simply cannot fit all). Instead, we offer three IDC packages which are designed to cater to different budgets and requirements. Our IDC Pro Platinum means that you won’t just leave us as an Instructor, you’ll have already achieved the next level up – PADI MSDT (Master Scuba Diver Trainer). Why do we offer this? Check out the Employment Prospects section coming up next.

When applying for any job, employers look on your CV to see where you trained and who with. The diving industry is no different and when it comes to your IDC you want a reputable name on your CV and experience that relates to where you want to work. There is alternate option and that is you do a 300 metre mask, fin and snorkel swim. Some do find this easier to the 200 swim. You also have to be able to tread water or float for at least 10 minut [...]
