Christmas Point
Overview
Situated on the northwest ridge of of Koh Ba-Ngu (Island 9) Christmas Point is a spectacular arrangement of underwater boulders.
These boulders leave the island and reach a depth of around 40 metres. They appear to have been placed there by some mystical creature and provide an create a wondrous world of swim throughs and tall coral and sea fan lined crevices.
It is another place that the Leopard Sharks like to frequent. There have been reported that there have been black and white tip reef sharks here however they have been quite rare in recent times.
It appears that all species of big fish have taken a liking to this dive site and giant travellies, barracudas, tunas, groupers, sweetlips and the Napoleon Wrasse are regularly found swimming in these waters.
Because of its depth and occasional strong currents it is a intermediate to advanced divers site. Visibility is often good ranging from 15 -30 metres.
