For a limited time, Aussie Divers Phuket is running a professional scholarship program. Pay for your PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) and, if accepted into our Professional Development Scholarship Program, receive your PADI Divemaster training free of charge (excluding PADI fees, learning materials, certification application fees, and other associated costs).
Aussie Divers Phuket is a PADI 5 Star Career Development Centre (CDC) and committed to developing the next generation of dive professionals. The special scholarship program is designed for motivated divers who are serious about progressing beyond recreational diving and building a future as dive leaders, PADI Professionals, and future Instructors.
Whether your goal is to work in Phuket, travel the world as a dive professional, or take the steps towards becoming a PADI Instructor, this program provides an affordable pathway into the professional side of the diving industry.
The Professional Pathway
Every PADI Instructor begins their journey as a Divemaster.
The PADI Divemaster course is the first professional level certification within the PADI system and provides the foundation required to progress into the PADI Instructor Development Course.
During your Divemaster training, you’ll develop leadership skills, improve your dive knowledge, refine your in-water abilities, and gain valuable real-world experience assisting instructors and working with certified divers and students.
The Divemaster course is where divers transition from being participants to becoming dive leaders. As a prerequisite for the PADI Instructor Development Course, it provides the professional-level knowledge, leadership experience, and practical training needed to continue along the path towards becoming a PADI Instructor.
What’s Included?
Successful applicants accepted into this limited promotion will receive:
- Full PADI Divemaster training with the Aussie Divers Phuket professional team
- Practical workshops and leadership development
- Dive theory revision and professional-level knowledge development
- Instructor preparation and mentoring
- Real-world dive centre experience
- Guidance from our experienced PADI Instructor Development staff
What’s Not Included?
The following fees and materials remain the responsibility of the candidate:
- PADI Divemaster application fee’s (Paid directly to PADI)
- PADI IDC course fee’s
- PADI Instructor exam & application fee’s (Paid directly to PADI)
- PADI digital learning materials and crew packs
- Personal dive equipment required for professional-level training
- Boat fees, National Park fees, accommodation, and personal expenses
- Any applicable PADI membership fees (Paid directly to PADI)
Application Process
This promotion is not available through automatic enrolment. It is offered through a limited scholarship program with a restricted number of places available. Applications are assessed based on suitability, motivation, and availability, and the program may be withdrawn or closed once all available positions have been filled.
Candidates must complete an application process to ensure they are genuinely committed to pursuing a professional diving career and are a suitable fit for the program.
Successful applicants accepted into the scholarship program will receive their PADI Divemaster training at no additional training cost. In return, candidates must commit to enrolling in and paying for the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) with Aussie Divers Phuket.
The scholarship is intended to support motivated individuals pursuing the complete professional pathway from Divemaster to Instructor.
Applicants should submit:
- A cover letter outlining their career goals and reasons for becoming a dive professional
- Current CV or resume
- Dive history and logged dives
- Copies of diving certifications
- Professional or character references (where available)
Applications are reviewed by the Aussie Divers Phuket management and instructional team. Selection is based on attitude, professionalism, career aspirations, commitment to the dive industry, and overall suitability for the program.

We’re not simply looking for divers with the highest number of logged dives, nor are we looking for applicants whose only qualification is a passion for diving. After all, most divers are passionate about diving, that’s what brought them underwater in the first place.
